There are things that make  Brazil unique and known all over the world.  Almost everyone knows that Brazil is the country of soccer, Carnival, beautiful beaches and of one of the 7 wonders of the world, the statue of Christ. But Brazil is much more than this.

Brazil is a country that celebrates life and for this reason we, indeed are the country of Carnival, but an exchange student will be amazed by the incredible variety of folklore and popular festivities and with the spontaneous and contagious happiness of these events.

Don’t take us wrong:  Brazil is not only about parties. Brazilians like to play but they also work hard. We have a very rich and productive agriculture and we are a large producer and exporters of fruits, coffee and grains.  Our industry is also very active producing from software to airplanes.

Brazil is the country of beautiful beaches, we have 80.000 km of coast line, but we also have beautiful water falls, mountains, rivers and plains.  A visitor in Brazil will find many different sceneries being in the coastline or inland.

If you think that the Brazil is the country of soccer, you are right. But we are also a land of countless sports activities and athletic people. 

There is no reason of trying to define Brazil. This country is much more than a mixture of races, culture, climates, colors and landscape.  All the definitions about Brazil do not fit one page.  There are so many aspects about Brazil that words cannot describe, but luckily for you it can all be revealed in every region, city, or small town.
